Two things last forever; faith and love and I feel passionately that the love of love will never die. All great and lasting things start and end with gratitude. Gratitude can easily inspire you to greater achievements and it acts as the cement to hold it all together, gratitude will consolidate what you have. Gratitude is the super glue of the universe.

We shall start with gratitude. Genuine gratitude, I don’t care what your position is or what your status is you need to find something to be grateful for. In the beginning it will be helpful to write it down, write a list of things that you feel grateful for and write it in the present tense, this is very important. ‘I am so happy and grateful that….’ Make it your list personal to you, it might include your partner, your job, your clothes, your car, your family or even your pet rabbit called Kevin it does not matter what it is, it is how it makes you feel that is vital. This will instantly put you in a much more positive frame of mind.

Every morning when you wake up run through that list and feel those feelings of positivity and pride. This is a touchy feely world, it tends to work best that way so, concentrate on those positive feelings of gratitude for a few minutes every morning. Think of it as your breakfast brain workout, the best meal of the day.

Things do not always go as planned, thank goodness. Look at Viagra, almost a flop as a drug for heart conditions but it certainly made another market sit up and beg and it appears to have great staying power.

Every night before you go to sleep do this little exercise. Run through in your mind the day that you have just had and when you come across a situation that you were not happy with, re run that situation but this time in a way that you would have wanted it to pan out, see the result that you wanted. Do that with all those errant moments, clean them up and clear them out but it is vital not to be angry with your self or to apportion blame, instead have fun. You are in your bed running your brain and it was your day so make it how you would have wanted it.

When you have sorted yesterday, start on tomorrow. Run through your mind what it is you have to do and or what results are expected of you then simply run every event with the flow and outcome that you desire. Then, go to sleep. The whole exercise should not last for more than a few minutes and remember the other golden rule, make it fun! Gratitude will make you smile when you wake up and you will smile when you go to sleep. The better your attitude the better you eat.

Desire is a funny concept it can make us do some very odd things. The desire of just amassing a huge pile of cash like some of our more trashy celebrities is plain stinking thinking. Like making love to the Queen it is a huge undertaking and thankfully not many are up to the task.

Very few people know exactly what they want from life, most know what they do not want. Knowing exactly what you want is the next vital step.

This is where the fun starts. Unusual thinking happens in unusual places; do not sit at your usual desk or sofa to learn to think in vivid broad strokes of genius, it will not happen any time soon. Most of my best ideas came to me without effort in places like New York, Tokyo or Paris but thankfully it is the principle that is vital not the plane ride. Go for a long walk, sit in the garden or if you want to spend a little money why not go for a long drive or spend a day or two in a hotel? All you need is a different environment which supplies peace and quiet and some quality thinking time.

Rub your lamp! Yes, absolutely correct, whip it out when you feel relaxed (best not to in public, it can get very messy), go on play the game. You know the game; everyone knows that you get three wishes from the genie.

Ask yourself about your three wishes, really ask those deep questions. Forget about how and why and when, those questions are for been counters. Open the floodgates of possibilities and let slip those fluffy beasts of abundance. Now that you are in the swing of things go for more than three measly wishes, go for the catalogue… no not Argos, think much bigger.

Have fun with this, while you are at it write it down write a list because if it is not written down then it is not a committed idea. Write it in the present tense this is vital; write ‘I am so happy and grateful for…..’

The biggest bully you will ever meet is life and life bullies most people into submission. Ask yourself ‘Do I want to be the victim or the victor?’ then be very careful about what you are thinking and feeling because what ever your answer is you will get more of what you think and feel about most. There is a phrase ‘garbage in garbage out’ and I prefer ‘the more you do of what you are doing the more you get of what you’ve got’. They are both saying the same thing and that is that if you want different results you have to do different things.
